Hi everyone :)
Flipped classroom
I run into the term just recently but I did not know
what it really meant. After the experience in my class, now I do have a clear
idea of what flipped classroom is. They replace teacher lectures with some
instructions, video or other forms. I would like to mention a lot of benefits
like students can work from their own space, but the key is that they do
advanced work. They should read while in classroom.
As I said for me was the
first experience in my class which I really enjoyed. It was something new and I
was comfortable and attentive to what I was presented.
Students reflect before class and what is more
helpful they watch videos related to the given topic. As future teachers it is
important the feedback that students will give after they have watched the
video, read an article or something else.
Actually what I found interesting was that there are
students who constantly need teacher supervision and want to know if they are
doing things right and the teacher instead of giving them immediate answer, makes
the students search for extra
information. What a teacher should do is
provide them with resources available.
Now we cannot separate technology from our learning
and teaching. As following steps and method my students will be familiar with Google
classroom so they can be familiar with the new lesson. Learning from games is
always a good way, Quizizz give the chance to test them but at the same time to
entertain.
To conclude I would say that learning about flipped
classroom was very helpful. Teaching students
to approach new methods of learning is important. As a future teacher I would
like to include this method in my classes.
I also think that learning about flipped classrooms is very helpful. You have mentioned many benefits of having a flipped classroom in our teaching experiences. However, the one that I mostly consider as important is students' feedback on what they have just learned. That way we understand what they have actually acquired and what they have not.Thank u!
ReplyDeleteAlways pro short Aleksa. You said what is needed.
ReplyDeleteCongrats
I am enthusiastic about how you will use this method in your classes and I am sure you will make it. Here you have provided some benefits of using this method that is very connected to technology and I enjoyed reading it.
ReplyDeleteI'm really fond of posts that are not too long and easy to understand and this reflection of yours is included on this ones.Good job Sandra!
