Webinars
Being sincere is not that when I heard the term of
webinars I knew anything about it. Just from the word I could think of web and
seminar which equals webinar. So this was the first thought, and actually was
closely related with the real meaning of webinars.
Just like you guys’ watching the videos at first was
a little tiring but they were actually interesting and full of information
about webinars. We all do agree that technology is very important in our
learning and teaching process so webinars is a very interesting way of
organizing our classes. It has a lot of advantages, starting with the first
that you don’t have to be in class. The variety of comments that come online
may be very educating and helpful just like in the videos of proverbs and “why
grammar is difficult” we all can learn a lot by other comments.
For me the second video with the proverbs was really
interesting, it was all well organized as firstly were like definition and
later with activities. Everyone has something to say even though when are a lot
of students online and not all comments can be read, and this can be a little difficult
but mostly was fun because finding the right definition meanwhile you could
read a lot of other thing too
To conclude I would say that webinars are very
helpful and interesting not taken as a class that we are obligated to be
present, but an activity that we all learn from it. I would like to share a
quote from Connie Malamed saying “One of the most important areas we can
develop as professionals is competence in accessing and sharing knowledge”.
I liked the way how you have organized your thoughts, and the way how you have reflected on the two webinars. You jave provided a reason why webinars are a new way through which teaching a topic takes place. I agree with you when you say that webinars are much more interesting than traditional classes because here you do not have to be at a classroom to attend the lesson, but your distance does not matter at all. Thank you!
